Adjacent to our primary clinic is our large indoor arena, great for lameness exams in any weather at all times of the year.  Extensive lameness knowledge coupled with advanced modalities ensures a thorough exam.  Some advanced modalities used are thermography, regional anesthetics, digital radiography, and musculoskeletal ultrasonography.

We also have a lameness locator. This is a device we use to identify and quantify lameness in your horse. It works off of sensors placed in specific positions on the horse analyzed by a computer with specific algorithms to identify asymmetrical movement (lameness). This device is able to identify very subtle lameness that the human eye can’t see. However, these subtle lameness’s can affect their performance drastically. The lameness locator also quantifies how severe the lameness is and is a great device to monitor improvements after treatments or rehab. It adds objectivity to what has always been a subjective lameness exam based solely on the practitioners skills in the past. No more guessing!
